Enabling compression and streaming of video and multimodal data at extremely low bit rates.

About the Technology

We are on a mission to improve multimedia compression capabilities, developing technology expected to achieve unprecedented compression rates compared to the industry-standard. Hundreds of exabytes of data are created each day and growing. Offering orders of magnitude better compression would be ideal for bandwidth-constrained environments with potential for substantial savings in storage costs. Furthermore, our technology preserves semantics, enabling personalized reconstructions and satisfying viewing experiences with minimal bit rates for enhanced user engagement. Finally, this technology will improve accessibility for media streaming and archiving from reduced file sizes.

Continued support from the Stanford University HIT Fund will be instrumental in bringing our technology to commercial pilot readiness.
