Grant Closeout Form & Intellectual Property Reporting

As part of the grant closeout process, the Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) may request information regarding inventions, patents, or other intellectual property associated with a sponsored award.

While OTL does not submit formal grant closeout documentation, OTL’s Intake & Sponsor Compliance team assists OSR by confirming whether inventions or patents resulted from the award and by providing related intellectual property details when needed.

Please note:

iEdison is used for invention and patent lifecycle reporting under Bayh-Dole regulations
iEdison is not used for administrative or financial award closeout
Inventors and Principal Investigators (PIs) are not expected to submit grant closeout documentation into iEdison
